The Portland is a LIVE music venue situated on the busy Portland Road, at the heat of a largely residential area of Hove in East Sussex.

The last few years have seen a change in the way people use pubs and the result has been for us to tailor our venue to people's tastes in music and also in the drinks we offer.

The Portland remains a family friendly venue, without the trappings of a city centre pub, to ensure you enjoy your time with us.

Music is obviously very important at The Portland, which has resulted in live entertainment 5 nights a week! Notable acts that have graced our stage include Adam Bomb and Jake Stigers (brother of Curtis) from the USA, Queenmania from Italy, regular rockers like Dirty Shoes, Lick and Tempest together with upcoming 'Brighton Bands' including recent Glastonbury smash Doll and the Kicks.

In addition we also offer:

• Jukebox (front bar)
• Live Sports on our large screens
• Paved terrace at the front
• Large beer garden (not music nights)

We are keen to support the local community and 'do our bit' for the Poets Corner Residents Association, various local and national charities and also by providing a focal point for local business and residents alike.
